PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS:                Chronic otitis media.

POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS:             Chronic otitis media.

PROCEDURE:                                             Bilateral myringotomy and placement of tubes.

ANESTHESIA:                                             General anesthesia.

PROCEDURE:                                             The patient was brought to the operating room, placed on the operating room table and general anesthesia was administered via facial mask.

A speculum was placed in the right ear canal, cerumen was removed, and a myringotomy was performed. Fluid was suctioned from the middle ear cleft. A modified Armstrong tube was placed, Ciprodex drops were instilled.

An identical procedure was carried out on the left side, where once again fluid was suctioned from the middle ear cleft. A modified Armstrong tube was placed, Ciprodex drops were instilled.

The patient was then awakened from general anesthesia and then transferred to the recovery room in good condition. The patient tolerated the procedure well.
